Making the most of the sunshine!<\/h3>\n

When the weather turned nice this year we decide we would try our hands at gardening! With only a small paved yard outside the back of 18 Hope Street we were quite limited in what we could do but we thought we would give it a go anyway.<\/p>\n

After a trip to the local garden centre we were stocked up on seeds, compost, trowels and everything else we needed to create our own little Kew Gardens.<\/p>\n

Not knowing what was going to work and what wasn\u2019t, we got a range of plants at different stages, from packets of seeds to tomato plants with fruit almost ready to pick. It was a little late in the year for most things but we managed to plant herbs, tomatoes, peppers, runner beans and squash.<\/p>\n

We also planted some sunflower seeds, one for each service users and one for each member of staff and there will be a prize for the tallest once they are fully grown!<\/p>\n

Three weeks later – <\/strong>We have had our first harvest and the sunflowers are starting to show through!<\/h3>\n
